Sen Yar’adua supports, boosts irrigation

Senator Abdul’aziz Musa Yar’adua of Katsina Central Senatorial District has supported Irrigation farmers with 1,200 bags of fertilizer for this years Irrigation season.
According to the distribution, 10 local government areas benefitted with 100 bags, while Katsina LGA got 200 bags of the commodity.
The senator has already directed his Monitoring and Evaluation Committee and Coordinators of each of the 11 local government areas across the senatorial district to ensure even distribution of the commodity to relevant Irrigation farmers within their domains.
To that effect, Senator Yar’adua charged the Committees to be fair by ensuring that the fertilizer reaches authentic Irrigation farmers in each of the 11 local government areas of the District.
The distribution Committee of each of the 11 LGAs have already verified relevant Irrigation farmers by visiting Clusters to ensure authenticity of the beneficiaries.
The Senator explained that the assistance became necessary considering the current hash economy being experienced particularly in the North.
He enjoined the beneficiaries to judiciously use the commodity as expected.
Irrigation farmers that benefitted with the support in the Senatorial District came from Katsina, Batsari, Safana, Danmusa Dutsinma and Karfi local government areas.
Others are from Batagarawa, Rimi, Charanchi, Jibia and Kaita local government areas.
